Solar panels for 2 hospitals in Ukraine - EUR 200,000 (2 December 2024)

This pilot project provides decentralized energy for two hospitals in the Ukraine. It guarantees uninterrupted energy and therewith uninterrupted healthcare while reducing CO2 emissions from diesel generators.  Installation of solar panels also lowers the energy costs of the hospitals substantially by 25-30%. The pilot is the first part of a much larger project which provides solar panels to 26 hospitals and 1 school.

De Boomgaard foundation is lead partner and collaborates with LifeLine Ukraine, Energy Act for Ukraine and Solarge Lightweight Panels and involves the local community in sustainable energy practices. Used panels produced in The Netherlands, they are super light weight, recyclable and PFAS free. They provide high capacity and do not contain glass. The panels are servicing 2 hospitals in Mykolaiv, the Children’s Regional and the Maternity Hospital N2 hospital.
