The focus is on routine and stability: creating a reliable daily structure for children who have experienced significant disruption and loss.
Employing and empowering local staff is central to the model. By building on existing community ties and local expertise, the organisation is able to maintain continuity of care even in a volatile environment. Staff include teachers, medical professionals, and psychosocial support workers who are present for children every day.
Alongside the Academies of Hope, the organisation is developing a children's specialty hospital and Women's Centers of Hope, aimed at expanding healthcare and support services for women and families across the region. These longer-term initiatives reflect an ambition that goes beyond immediate relief, toward building more durable systems of care.
