Sponsoring 15 female students in Marrakech - EUR 20,000 (28 May 2024)
Dar Moustaqbel helps female students in Marrakech to continue their educational career or find a job after they obtained a diploma. Students coming from a poor background need a good plan and strong commitment to follow this study. When their parents cannot afford boarding, they are housed at Dar Moustaqbel.
In 2021, a second location opened: the Masterhuis, providing bachelor students a master's degree programme. Here the students prepare for the competitive labor market. A job market orientation started in 2023 under the motto: “finding a job is a job”. The director of Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech acts as the students’ mentor and a true example of what you can achieve as a woman.
De Boomgaard supported 15 students. Despite the tragic earthquake on 8 September 2023 during which the girls lost 74 close relatives, 14 students managed to a get diploma. 8 of them obtained a well-paid employment contract and 29 alumni have a stable job. One at a notary office. The impact extends beyond the girls themselves. They are role models and pillars of support for their families and communities in breaking the cycle of poverty.
The Dutch Moustaqbel Foundation rents out a stylish Moroccan venue in the centre of Amsterdam for meetings and workshops. They also have 4 modern flex workspaces for rent to constantly collect financial resources.
