A dance project for children and young people in Zeeland - EUR 20,000 (2 December 2024)
The Grote Kerk Veere is one of the oldest national monuments in the Netherlands. The church plays an important role in local history and offers an interdisciplinary and cultural stage since 2020. Imagination, connection and education are central themes. The church cooperates with the renowned Dutch Dance Theater and nationally known artists.
De Boomgaard foundation supports a special dance programme in 2025. Students of a professional dance school and young residents of the local asylum seeker centers work together on their own choreography inspired by the work of the dancers and choreographers. In today's highly polarized society connection is more important than ever. The young participants learn to value each other and culture in a playful way.
