Project: Contribution to construction of educational centre - EUR 100,000 (12 April 2021)
Nice Place Foundation is a leadership training and shelter centre in Kajiado district in Kenya. The centre provides a safe learning environment for young women and girls at risk of being circumcised or in child marriage.
The training centre was officially opened in autumn 2021. From January 2022, Nice Place Academy will start running courses, 1 month each, in leadership, personal development, coding and business planning (about 65 girls per course). The Academy also acts as a hub for selection for further education at e.g. Kenyan Technical College and Kenyan Medical College. It supports 115 girls with fellowships for 'school fees' and has placed girls in about 20 schools and higher education institutions.
