Permaculture farming in M'ndaka village project

Kasungu Elephant Foundation (KEF) in collaboration with Wildlife and Environmental Society of Malawi initiated first steps of the planned project to introduce Permaculture farming in M'ndaka village on the boundary of Kasungu National Park (KNP), Malawi. The main goals of the project are to foster a sustainable agro-ecology on the village lands, thereby improving health and livelihood of the villagers, increasing biodiversity and reducing human/wildlife conflict and encroachment on the National Park.

Following reciept of funding from Stichting De Boomgaard, Kasungu Elephant Foundation (KEF) in collaboration with Wildlife and Environmental Society of Malawi initiated first steps of the planned project to introduce Permaculture farming in M'ndaka village on the boundary of Kasungu National Park (KNP), Malawi. The main goals of the project are to foster a sustainable agro-ecology on the village lands, thereby improving health and livelihood of the villagers, increasing biodiversity and reducing human/wildlife conflict and encroachment on the National Park.

In January 2017, the foundation will be restructured and operate under a new name.
