Permaculture farming in M'ndaka village project

Kasungu Elephant Foundation (KEF) in collaboration with Wildlife and Environmental Society of Malawi initiated first steps to introduce Permaculture farming in M'ndaka village on the boundary of Kasungu National Park (KNP). The aim was to foster a sustainable agro-ecology on village lands, thereby improving health and livelihood of the villagers, increasing biodiversity and reducing human/wildlife conflict and encroachment on the National Park.

In January 2017, the foundation was restructured and continued operations under a new name.
