Free a Girl is on a mission to end the sexual exploitation of children by actively rescuing victims from unsafe situations and helping them rebuild their lives. Through long-term care, education, and the fight for justice, they empower survivors to heal, thrive, and create lasting change.

Rescue & Aftercare for 55 underage girls

The support enabled 55 underage girls in India to be rescued. They received aftercare and were reintegrated into their families. Also, 28 complaints or reports concerning rescues were filed at the local police. As a result, 26 accused people were arrested. Another 45 girls and women that fell victim of sexual exploitation received legal support or victim compensation.

Rescued girls become part of different after-care projects, to reintegrate them as soon as possible within their communities. They receive vocational training that is useful to become economically independent. Part of the survivors become part of the change agent programme School for Justice. They receive education to become lawyers, journalists, prosecutors and police women in India to change the system.
