Project: Sanctuary restoration in Malawi 166 ha

After two decades of neglect, rehabilitation of the Lilongwe Nature sanctuary (166 hectares) has started with financial support from IFAW. Part of this project includes restoration of the auditorium, library, walking trails and production of educational materials.

The redevelopment of the neglected urban nature reserve Lilongwe Nature Sanctuary Malawi is of great importance for young people, among others, who can visit, learn and recreate there and learn about wildlife and biodiversity. In addition, conservation of the sanctuary is highly desirable as a green zone in the city.
