Permaculture farming in M'ndaka village project
The aim was to foster a sustainable agro-ecology on village lands, thereby improving health and livelihood of the villagers, increasing biodiversity and reducing human/wildlife conflict and encroachment on the National Park.
In January 2017, the foundation was restructured and continued operations under a new name.
- Permaculture training followed by meetings with chiefs and local stakeholders
- Initial design and introductory meetings with ca. 100 participating villagers
- Construction of a tree nursery, composting area and first water harvesting swales
- First plantings around bore-hole
- Setting up bee keeping
