Fossielvrij is a citizens' movement of people acting to end of the fossil era and the beginning of a climate-just world. Fossil Free focuses its campaigns on the pillars of the fossil fuel industry, such as financial institutions and pension funds that invest in or finance the fossil fuel industry. The organisation is campaigning to end direct investments in new fossil fuel projects, or in fossil fuel companies that do not have Paris-aligned action plans.

Annemiek Hoogenboom (1952) started her career as a lecturer at several international universities and she later focused on global water management, empowerment of women and girls and free press in Eastern Europe.

Boudewijn Poelmann

Boudewijn Poelmann (1949) is the founder of Novamedia in 1983 and co-founder of the Dutch Postcode Lottery in 1989. Before setting up Novamedia he worked for Novib as a fund-raiser thereby increasing the membership tenfold.
